SUMMARY: Land, Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples
DESCRIPTION: Indigenous peoples have deep connections and respect for the land. Yet the impacts of climate change on the Indigenous communities are immediate and direct. In this workshop, we will explore local and global Indigenous peoples' relationships with the land and ways of knowing. Then we will examine the impacts of climate change on Indigenous Peoples, the challenges, and how they mobilize their in-depth knowledge responding to climate change. IThis event is part of the Indigenous Learning in Local and Global Contexts Program. Learn more about the programs by visiting the Center for International Experience - Programs & Events (Under the section "Growth") webpage and find out how the program works to get Co-Curricular Record (CCR) recognition.
