Greetings from RAD (Restore, Assert, Defend)
In case you haven’t heard, our June Full Moon Network Gathering is coming up next Monday June 5th from 4-6pm EDT (1pm PT/2pm MT/3pm CT/5pm AT). Please join us online for a discussion on youth engagement and leadership.
The RAD (Restore, Assert and Defend) Network began hosting the virtual Full Moon Network Gatherings at the start of 2023 in order to build relationships, learn from one another and envision pathways forward. In the Anishinaabe tradition, this moon is widely known as the Strawberry Moon (Ode Omini-Giigis), a time for growing strong relationships with kindness and love.
This month we’ll pass the mic to the next generation to hear about what’s inspiring them to get involved in land, water and biodiversity protection. We’ll also discuss the questions: What is your community doing to empower youth involvement in your Indigenous-led conservation economy? What are you doing to engage youth in your work? How can we create more space for youth leadership?
If you have already registered to join the RAD Network, you will have received a calendar invitation for the June 5th gathering. If you have not yet registered, you can do so at this link: REGISTER HERE.
Please help us spread the word and extend the invitation to youth in your networks. All are welcome and young people are especially encouraged to join! If you know any youth who would be interested to be involved in the call in more of a leadership capacity, please invite them to email RADpartnership@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
RAD Network
