Listen to a panel of land, water, and air defenders share their knowledge, leadership, and expertise as Indigenous women defending Mother Earth.
Indigenous women are disproportionately affected by environmental degradation. This is connected with, and exacerbates, violence, exploitation, health, and security risks; resulting in devastating impacts on communities and innumerable human rights violations. Indigenous women are uniquely positioned to share their knowledge and expertise on these impacts, as well as tactics and strategies for resistance and remediation. Panelists will speak to the catastrophic impacts of environmental destruction, different strategies for resistance, and how feminist allies can support Indigenous women in this crucial work defending Mother Earth.
